Ved skiftet etter Johannes i 1719 ble gården taksert til 300 rdl. Han hadde i den tid han hadde bodd på Haugestad reparert bygningene og fått jordveien i god hevd. Etter sin far hadde Johannes arvet parter i Nordre Nes, Søndre Nes og Herstad.
De ble taksert til henholdsvis 38, 100 og 61/2 rdl. Utgiftene ved begravelsen kom på 24 rdl. og skifteomkostningene på 40 rdl. Nettoformuen utgjorde 1105 rdl., en meget stor sum på den tid.
Av boets rikholdige løsøre merker vi oss:
1 gammelt sølvtaup, vekt 8 lodd, verd 4 rdl., 1 rundt sølvstaup med den avdødes navn, 3 rdl., 16 sølvskjeer, 241/4 rdl.,
1 stort smiested, 11 rdl., 1 blåsebelg, 2 rdl., 1 stor skrustikke i verkstedet, 5 rdl.
Sønnen Jahn fikk denne smieredskap.

Han kvitterte i 1709 sin morbror Johannes Jahnsen Loug - som flyttet til Haugestad i Hof - for vel utført formynderskap.
I 1710 kjøpte Wilhelm svigerinnen Sara Eriksdatters part i gården for 71 rdl. Året etter kjøpte han 2½ lpd. i Øvre Åkerholt av Anders Pedersen Styrmand i Holmestrand, som denne var blitt utlagt ved skiftet etter Morten Kristofferssøn i 1699 for si tt tilgodehavende. På broren Jørgen og søsteren Maris arveparter fikk Wilhelm skjøte i 1724.

Velstanden fortsatte på Nedre Åkerholt. Ved skiftet etter Mari i 1755 ble Nedre Åkerholt taksert til 900 rdl.
Wilhelm hadde i 1737 økt sin part i Øvre Åkerholt med vel 5 lpd. for 103¾ rdl.
I 1755 eide han det meste av denne gård, verdsatt til 338 rdl. Løsøret hadde en verdi av 530 rdl. I rene penger oppføres 1385 rdl.
Willum hadde lånt bort mange penger mot pant i fast eiendom. Nettoformuen utgjorde 4169 rdl., en meget stor sum i den tid.

1 tysk ABC - verd 2 sk.
Annet løsøre:

Det er føyd til at begravelsen var anstendig og at utgiftene kom på 40 rdl.
Willum oppga sitt bo i 1756. Arvesummen ble 1094 rdl. Han holdt av 1000 rdl. Rentene av dette beløpet skulle gå til hans underhold og 40 rdl. til hans begravelse. Det ble også holdt skifte etter Willum da han var død i 1757.
Nedre Åkerholt ble overdratt av sønnesønnen Lars Kristoffersen.

I 1734 fikk enken Thale skjøte på 3 lpd i Haugestad av sine svogre Christoffer og Lars Loug for 120 rdl.
Thale eide i 1743 12 lodd sølv og fikk en ekstraskatt på 6 rdl. Hun makeskiftet sine 10 Ipd. i Haugestad .i 1745 til sønnen Johannes, etter en verdi av 220 rdl., og flyttet til Nordre Nes.
Ved skiftet etter henne der i 1773 ble arvesummen 14961/2 rdl. Det var fremdeles stor velstand i familien. Utenom part i Nordre Nes eide hun noen mindre arveparter i Søndre Å,by, Nedre Bondi og Hallerud i Sande, og fire pantobligasjoner på tilsamm en 980 rdl. Av en arvepart i Herstad hadde boet nå til gode avgift for 33 år.
Av sølvtøy nevnes: 1 stor sølvkanne (60 lodd), verd 30 rdl., 2 sølvskjeer med bokstavene I I S L og T T D og årstallet 1720, 3 rdl., 2 sølvskjeer med bok- stavene G E D og årstallet 1705, 3 rdl.
Lensmannen fordret ved skiftet 3 ort og 1 sk., som andel til reparasjon av bygningene på prestegården og til ny kirkeklokke.

I 1762 ble Johannes Loug stevnet «for et uskikkelig liv og , levnets forhold». Også forholdet til hjemmet ble
påtalt. Etter Lougs død ble gården i 1763 solgt ved auksjon til Hans Hanssen for 2014 rdl. Herav hadde , Johannes eid den ene halvpart. Den andre halvpart hadde tilhørt Thale Trulsdatter og Tollef Ve.
Løsøret ble solgt ved auksjon for 494 rdl.
Nettoformuen ble 3221/2 rdl.
Et par av arvingene solgte sine parter i 1775 for 260 rdl. til Halvor Torgersen, Mellom Bolstad i Sande. Han var g. m. Thale Johannesdatter Loug fra Haugestad. I 1778 solgte han Nordre Nes med underliggende kvernbruk og fiskevann for 450 rdl. ti l svogeren Nils Jørgensen Holst, ,Hesthammer. Denne solgte igjen s. å. for 550 rdl. til Kristen Kristoffersen.
