    Fra "Slekten Blichfeldt" av Ragnar Blichfeldt s 60-61:

    Henrik Hansen Blichfeldt mistet altså sin far da han var vel 1 år gammel og sin mor da han var 3 år. Man må gå ut fra at han de første år har bodd på prestegården i Raarup hos sin stefar, men senere kom-mer han til sin familie i Århus for å gå i Latinskole, hvorfra han ble student i 1670. Det eksisterte ikke noen juridisk eksamen i Danmark i 1670/80-årene. Sin jus fikk de antakelig ved sin praksis hos amtmenn eller magistrat. Ved ansøkning til kongen om embede ble det i mange tilfelle lagt større vekt på anbefalinger fra fornemme personer enn på vedkommendes kvalifikasjoner.
    Når Henrik søkte seg til Norge, skyldtes det vel at han ved sin familie hadde tilknytning til Norge, nemlig ved sin mor som var fra Bergen og ved sin fetter som allerede var sorenskriver på Hedemarken (1669). Likeledes hadde hans farbror just Henriksen Blichfeldt «seilt på Norge», og bl. a. vært i Drammen flere ganger.
    Henrik Hansen Blichfeldt var byfogd i Drammen fra 7.11.1682 til 1694. Den 3.12.1693 utnevnt til auksjonsdirektør over Christiania og Bragernes, idet disse byer nu ble lagt under en auksjonsforvaltning og byfogden ble altså den første i denne stilling. Ifølge Drammen bys histo-rie s. 212 nevnes han som auksjonsforvalter i 1702. Senere, omkr. 1723, mistet han visstnok denne stilling p.g.a. noe manko i forbindelse med regnskapene, og døde i 1726 «som en syk og nedbrutt mann» hos sin sønn prosten på Hole prestegård.
    I en slektsbok om familien Smith i Drammen v/overrettssakfører A. Juel, ut-gitt i 1934, står bl. a. nevnt de før omtalte portretter som nå tilhører Drammen museum. Han skriver:
    «I familien Smiths tid hang der på Smithe-Strøm en hel del malte portrætter, hvorav flere blev hængende paa gaarden efter at den var gaat ut av familien. Blandt disse var der portrætter av to damer, hvorav paa malerierne anføres den ene født i 1625 og den anden i 1690. Efter disse tidsangivelser lykkedes det forfatteren at identificere portrætterne. Billedet av den ældre dame forestiller Margrethe Anders-datter, f. ca. 1625, død i Raarup i Aarhuus stift 17.2.1652. Hun blev første gang gift med sogneprest til Raarup Johannes Henriksen Blich-feldt o.s.v. Hendes (Inger Cortsdatter Gottorp) portræt er det andet av billederne fra Smithe-Strøm. Spør man saa om, hvorledes disse to danskfødte damers portrætter, som er malt i Danmark, har funnet veien til Norge og havnet paa Smithe-Strøm, ligger forklaringen noksaa nær i hvad foran er oplyst om at eiendommen i 1701 blev kjøpt av byfogd Blichfeldts svigersøn, foged Søren Høeg, hvis hustru Anne Margrethe Blichfeldt arvet dem efter sine forældre. Portrætterne gik saa videre i arv til dennes sønnedatter Petronelle Margrethe Høeg, der i 1754 blev gift med Gabriel Smith. Begge portrætter blev i sin tid fundet paa et takkammer paa Strøm av konsul Christen Smith, som lot dem restaurere og redde fra undergang. De tilhører nu havnedirektør Gabriel Smith. De er malt av den bekjendte skildrer Peder Andersen Normand, der som hofmaler bodde i København fra 1680 til sin død 1694.»

    Iflg. overrettssakfører Juel oppgis Margrethe Andersdatter å være dansk, men senere undersøkelser viser at hun er fra Bergen. Fra museets årbok 1933-38 s. 86 siteres:
    «Billedsamlingen har fått en ualminnelig interessant forøkelse i to store kvinneportretter som skriver seg fra Smithe-Strøm.»

    Videre nevnes i årboken at man har konstatert at begge malerier er malt av en kjent østlandsk maler på den tid, nemlig Peder Joensen., det er signert P J S.
    I slektsopptegnelser om familiene Blichfeldt og Bentzon ved S. H. Finne-Grønn oppgis at han har en skinn notisbok fra Byfogden. Jeg siterer herfra:
    «Anno «i»1704 «/i»d. «i»5. «/i»julii satte jeg ham i Christianiæ Skole sub. Rectore mag. Hilario Hirnklow. Ao «i»1708 «/i»d. «i»16 «/i»Maj blev han (det er sønnen Hans han skriver om) dimmitteret fra Skolen af Rectore mag. Jacobo Rask. D. . . Junij nest efter reiste han fra mit hus her paa Bragernes ned til Kjøbenhavns Aca-demi til der at sustinere Examen depositionis, og fremdeles der at conti-nuere sine Studia (ble student «i»17/7 1708) «/i»til Gud vil at han kan for-tjene sig et smukt berømmeligt Testimonium et vitæ et doctrinæ, hvortil den barmhjertige Gud give Dig min Søn sin naadige Hjelp, Bistand og Velsignelse, som han visseligen gjør, dersom Du frygter ham alvorligen, lever skikkeligen og studerer flitteligen.»

    Skrevet av sønnen selv:
    «Anno «i»1708 «/i»d. «i»13 «/i»Augusti kom jeg her over til Jylland til min faster, (Anne Margrethe Hansdatter Blichfeldt g. m. sogneprest Glud, hvis slekt i over «i»200 «/i»år hadde vært prester der i sognet) for at besøke hende, eodem anno d. «i»25 «/i»Septemb. drog jeg derfra til Kjøbenhavn igjen og kom der d. «i»8 «/i»Octob. og blev saa vinteren over.
    Anno «i»1709 «/i»d. «i»14 «/i»Maij sustinerede jeg Examen philosophicum og fik den Character haud illaudabilem.
    Anno «i»1709 «/i»d. «i»23 «/i»October døde min kjære Moder Inger Cortsdatter paa Bragernes efterat hun i 11 uger havde ligget syg ved sengen og blev begravet d. «i»31 «/i»dito paa samme Sted.»

    Bygdebok for Hole bind 3 side 534 sier:
    "Sogneprestens far, auksjonsforvalter Henrik Blichfeldt i Christiania gjorde seg skyldig i underslag og rømte til sin sønn i Hole. Her oppholdt han seg da fogd Lars Mikkelsen (etter ordre fra amtmann Must) den 29. juli 1723 foretok utleggsforretning og "arrest" på auksjonsforvalterens person. På grunn av farens sykdom og skrøpelighet protesterte sognepresten mot at han ble transportert til Christiania, og arresten ble derfor lagt på ham, der han var.".

    Død:
    Døde i 1726 «som en syk og nedbrutt mann» hos sin sønn prosten på Hole prestegård.

    Han ble født i København omkr. 1530-40, men hans foreldres herkomst, navn og stilling kjennes ikke. Han skal først ha vært rektor i Ystad. I året 1564 ble han kapellan ved Vor Frue Kirke i København og antakelig slottsprest til Christiansborg Slot tskirke hos kong Friederich 2. Den 6. juli 1566 tok han magistergraden i København under mag. Hans Mogensens dekanat. Samme eller følgende år ble han sogne- prest ved Vor Frue Kirke i Aarhus og senere også kannik ved Domkir- ken og prost i Ning he rred, i hvilken stilling han døde 23.4.1596.
    Hans første hustru, Eva Nielsdatter, var datter av den første prest ved Vor Frue Kirke i Aarhus etter reformasjonen; kannik Niels Ja- cobsen. Hun døde i året 1579 og kort tid etter giftet han seg igjen med Cecilie Lauridsdatter Fogh, datter av Lau rids Fogh, borgermester i Aarhus. Magister og prost Christen Ottesen Blichfeld ble far til 8 barn.

    Han blev født i København o. Aar 1540, men hans Forældres Herkomst, Navn og Stand kendes ikke. Han skal først have været Rektor iYstad. I Aaret 1564 blev han Kapellan ved Vor Frue Kirke i København og maaske Slotspr'æst ,til Christiansborg Slotskirke. Den 6.Juli 1566 tog han Magistergraden i København under Mag. Hans Mogensens Dekanat. Samme eller følgende Aar blev han Sognepræst ved Vor Frue Kirke i Aarhus' og senere tillige Kannik ved Domkirken og Provst i Ning Herred, i hvilken Stilling han døde d. 23. April 15961). Hans første Hustru Eva Nielsdatter var Datter af den første Præst ved Vor Frue Kirke i Aarhus efter Reformationen og Kannik Niels Jacobsen.
    Hun døde i Aaret 1579, og kort Tid efter giftede han sig med Cecilie
    Lauridsdatter Fogh2),' der efter hans Død ægtede Hans Hansen Zeuthen,
    Kapellan ved Vor Frue Kirke i Aarhus og Hospitalspræst. 'Magister Blichfeld blev Fader til otte Børn, af hvilke to 'vistnok døde unge. En af hans Sønner, nedennævnte Magister Henrik Christensen Blichfeld, blev Stamfader til en betydelig Efterslægt, i hvis Eje er bevaret en gammel Bog med Optegnelser om FamilienS). Af Hensyn til disse Familieoptegnelser, der her skal meddeles, men ogsaa af typografiske Gru!lde for en lettere Oversigt, nævnes Stamfaderens Børn og deres Descendenter herefter, uden at deres Rækkefølge efter Fødselsaaret altid er fulgt. Angaaende Familienavnet bemærkes, at Præsten Hans Frederik Blichfeldt i Mørke (t 1885), der har beskæftiget sig med Familiens Genealogi, skal have været af den Anskuelse, at dets oprindelige Skrivemaade: Blichfeld, først efter at Magister Henrik i Aarhus havde føjet et t dertil ændredes, og det efterhaanden blev almindeligt at skrive det BIichfeldt1). Da denne Formodning imidlertid maa betragtes som uholdbar, er i det følgende bibeholdt den oprindelige Form, naar det ikke netop kan paavises, at den paagældende Person har skrevet eller skriver sig Blichfeldt.
